Configure Financial Reports

Financial Reports are designed to view and print the balance sheet, trial balance, and profit and loss statements in more detailed information. For example, Connected Business allows you to view these statements daily, weekly, monthly, annually and even compare business performance data from previous periods such as year, month and week.

Other useful analytical information that lets you understand your business better is that the ability to export the report in any file you want, may it be in excel, pdf or text. Managing these user-configured filters is so easy. You can delete those filter criteria that you no longer use for your financial reports.

 

 

 

 

 

Configure Financial Reports

 

  1. From the Accounting module, select  Financial ► Financial Report. The Financial Report will appear.

  2. On the Tools menu page group, click Customize button. The filter criteria window will display.

  3. Set the date on the options available in the Set Date Range and Accounts dropdown list.

  4. On the Account Code, you can select the list of account codes on the drop down list.

  5. On the additional Options for Data section:

    1. You can show negative numbers by checking the box “Show accounts with value only”.
    2. You can also Compare values by checking the box if you want to select.

  6. Click Save as New. A pop-up filter will display.

  7. On the Filter Name, write the name of the filter you created earlier. Click OK.

  8. Click Save and Close.

  9. You can check if the created filter criteria has been added to the list through the financial report itself.

MANAGE FILTER CRITERIA

This option lets you delete or rename the filter name of the financial report.

  1. From the Accounting module, select Financial Report on the Financial drop down list. The Financial Report list will be displayed.

  2. On the Tools menu page group, click Manage Filters button. The Manage Reports form will display.

  3. Select the filter criteria you want to delete by clicking on the box beside the criteria name. Click OK.

    To DELETE a Financial Report, tick the Delete check box beside the filter code column.


    To RENAME a Financial Report, edit its name under the Filter Name column.

EXPORT FINANCIAL REPORT

Whenever you modify or add new account codes, it is wise to update the financial statement layout to produce accurate figures in the financial statement report.

  1. From the Financial Report form, select any of the file formats under the Export button. The allowed formats are: Excel, CSV, PDF, PNG, HTML, RTF and TXT.

  2. Save to any file directory you want. Click Save. A pop-up message will display asking if you want to view the file. Click Yes if you want to view the file. Oherwise, click No if you want to open it later.

 


VIEW FINANCIAL STATEMENTS IN A REPORT

You can view the financial statements such as the trial balances, balance sheet and the profit and loss by clicking on their respective buttons from the Financial Report form.

  1. From the Financial Report form, click Balance Sheet or Profit and Loss button.The Balance Sheet or Profit and Loss report will then display.

  2. You can view the Balance Sheet or Profit and Loss by:

    1. View by Account Group - This presents a higher view of the  account group totals such as the current assets, current liabilities, equities, etc.
    2. View by Account Details - The underlying details or values of an account group are presented such as the checking, cash and cash equivalents, expenses, revenues, etc.
    3. View by Account Details with Account Code - The account codes under an account group are presented, thus giving you more details on where the values actually came from.

 


PRINT FINANCIAL REPORTS

  • From the Financial Report form, click on Quick print button. This will automatically print the current report.

 


VIEW CASH FLOW REPORT

  1. From the Financial Report form, select Cash Flow button. A Cash Flow pop-up form will then display.

  2. Select the list of Cash flow from the form.

  3. Click OK.
