Apply Discounts in POS

The following article discusses how to apply discounts in Connected Business POS. Discounts can be applied in quotes, orders and sale transactions. You can apply the discount directly to the item or from the Item Property window.

Apply Discount Directly to Item

To apply discount from the transaction tape,

1. Click on the percent (%) value under the Discount column for the item.

2. The numeric keypad will be displayed.

3. Enter the discount percent and click Accept. The total price for the item will be updated.

Apply Discount From Item Property Window

To apply discount from the Item Property window,

1. Click on the Item Property icon (). The Item Property window will be displayed.
2. Click the value in the Discount field to display the numeric keypad.

3. Enter the discount percent  and click Accept.

4. Select how you want to apply the discount. If you want to apply the discount to the currently selected item, click Apply. If you want to apply the discount  across all items in the transaction tape, click Apply All.  The total price for the item/s will be updated accordingly.

If reason code is required for giving discounts, the Enter your reason window will be displayed. You need to specify the reason for the discount before it can be applied in the current transaction. Refer to Configure POS Reason Codes.
